Onewater is once again organizing the international photo contest “Walk of Water: Identities”, which seeks visual stories that reveal the richness of human experiences connected to water — through culture, profession, spirituality, and personal perception.
The photo contest is organized by Onewater in collaboration with UNESCO, and this year’s edition is supported by a global coalition of partners, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Wex, Calumet, the Global Environment Facility’s IW:Learn Platform, and WasserStiftung (Water Foundation). Submissions are accepted via Picter.com. It’s open to photographers of all levels to explore this year’s theme, “Identities,” across several categories. The total prize pool exceeds €10,000, and the best young photographers will have the opportunity to participate in the 11th International Waters Conference, with all travel and participation costs fully covered.
Aligned with the United Nations World Water Day 2026 theme, the contest places special focus on the connection between water and gender equality, encouraging stories that explore how water shapes identity, opportunities, and equity.
