The launch event of the Europeana Photography thematic collection was a lively gathering that included presentations, physical and virtual photographic exhibitions, a live demo of the brand new website, and of course good drinks and bits.
Hosted at Museo della Grafica in Palazzo Lanfranchi in Pisa, the event welcomed both local and international attendees during the European Night of the Museums.
Representative photos from Photoconsortium member archives were displayed on easels next to the conference room, while prints of crowdsoucred images from Pisa visitors, digitized during the previous exhibition All Our Yesterdays, organized in 2014, were hung on the walls of the conference room.
At the ground floor, visitors could also experience the virtual exhibition Man Meets World.
