The Migration in the Arts and the Sciences is a project which wants to build a dedicated collection in Europeana on the theme of migration.
We are happy to announce that an alpha version of the portal has just been published with already ca. 190.000 items to explore, including texts, photos, videos, 3D objects and interesting blogs.

During a preparatory phase in October, a survey was cirulated among target audience categories, determining that users want access to documentary evidence, material culture, and first-hand narratives that relate to migration. To meet such requirements means the collection will be constituted by photographs, diaries, artworks, posters, objects, artefacts, passports, postcards, diagrams, letters and more objects reflecting the migration movements that have occurred in Europe over many centuries.

A call for content has just been launched to collect new materials from partner and non partner institutions.
