Photoconsortium long term partner and friend TopFoto has inspired and has been featured in a documentary titled The Moment of Truth (dir. David Baksh).

The short film examines the threat of photo-realistic, deepfake AI-generated imagery and features the people racing against time to save reality itself, focusing on archives and authorship in the age of Generative AI especially through the lens of the difference between real Windrush stories in Topfoto’s archive and fake photographs on the topic anyone could find (or generate) on the web. 

The documentary has been nominated for Best Documentary Short at Edinburgh Docufest and was screened on Saturday 25 April: a further screening will take place at Sunderland Documentary Festival on May 14.
