Specially curated by Photoconsortium in partnership with Europeana,The Pleasure of Plenty is the flagship exhibition of Europeana Photography Thematic Collection, showcasing the visual opulence and richness of historical photography. It is composed of various chapters, and the third installment has just been published.

Entitled Tricks of the Trade, the exhibition shows off the fruits of labour of farmers, inventors, craftsmen and factory workers. The generous lenses of the featured photographers have captured places and instances where trade is done, where fresh produce is laid out lavishly and new creations are shown proudly. Intricate and straightforward at the same time, these images turn out to be as abundant and enticing as the consumer’s paradises they portray.
