One of the founder members of Photoconsortium, the LAM Lithuanian Art Museum in Vilnius has been responsible since 2009 for organizing and coordinating digitization activities at Lithuanian museums, also curating the metadata provided to Europeana via Photoconsortium aggregator.

Out of the large collection of ca. 20.000 digitized photographs in Europeana, a beautiful gallery was created of vintage photography of scenes and costumes from opera productions. These photographs come from the collection of Kaunas City Museum and the Kaunas State Theatre, one of the oldest functioning theatres in Lithuania.
