Hosted by Photoconsortium member CRDI, on the occasion of the Archives International Day, the 2017 Annual Event of Photoconsortium was organized in the beautiful city of Girona (Spain), seat of an important audiovisual archive of millions photographs, films, hours of video and hours of sound recordings, mostly from private sources.
The archive is managed by CRDI, a body of the city Municipality created in 1997 with the mission to discover, protect, promote, provide and disseminate cinematographic and photographic heritage of the city of Girona.
The event was very friendly and successful with a nice number of attendees, especially from Spain cultural institutions who are interested in promoting photographic heritage. On the occasion, the new edition of PHOTOCONSORTIUM’s “All Our Yesterdays” photographic exhibition was launched, on show until the end of the year in Sant Curat (Barcelona) at the Catalonia National Archive.
